A Call for Membership, The Answer: For a Lifetime
In 1977 the National Society of Black Physicists (NSBP) was founded to promote the professional well-being of black physicists within the scientific community and within society at large. Over the years, NSBP has sought to develop and support efforts to increase the opportunities afforded to our members, as well as as well as aim to boost/raise the number of Black physicists worldwide. Our organization has been fortunate to have members from both the industrial and academic sectors, from undergraduates to professionals, and from our nation’s capital to the continent of Africa and beyond. Now, as we approach the 40th celebration of NSBP in 2017, we want to continue these endeavors by not only growing our general membership, but also the number of our lifetime members. In an effort to help our organization grow, we are pleased to announce the 40 by 40 Campaign. We are issuing a call for you to not just become an active member, but that you consider becoming Lifetime Members of the National Society of Black Physicists. Our goal is to gain 40 Lifetime Members by the 40th celebration. In the coming months we will send out more information about about our 40 by 40 campaign.
We hope you will join us in this exciting campaign and become a Lifetime Member.
