Purdue University, OSA and SPIE Sponsored Best Student Poster Awards

OSA and SPIE co-sponsor Best Student Poster Awards at the Joint Annual Conference of the National Society of Black Physicists and the National Society of Hispanic Physicists.  Two undergraduate and  two graduate level winners are selected amongst the posters covering work in optics and photonics.  The prizes include cash awards and free memberships in SPIE or OSA.

Purdue University separately sponsors Best Student Poster Awards also given at the joint NSBP/NSHP conference.  Posters in all areas of physics are eligible for the cash prizes.







Acoustics Poster Competition
The Acoustical Society of America (ASA) is sponsoring a student poster contest.  The first place award is $600, a second place $400, and a third place is $200. Winners will have an opportunity to attend and present their work at the 157th ASA meeting in Portland, OR, May 18--22, 2009.  A limited number of grants for up to $300 each are available upon request for purchase of required equipment to conduct the research.
